By Rose Mica Georges
Wrap yourself in each other’s presence and don’t just submerge yourself in the presents.
Often considered the most wonderful time of the year, millions worldwide celebrate Christmas. It is a time of joy, and love, where families and friends come together to celebrate and create lasting memories. Christmas is my all-time favorite season of the year. The joy and excitement that fill the air are magical. It is about spending quality time with loved ones, engaging in delightful activities, and creating beautiful memories together.
The loving, sharing, and giving of Christmas should not just be enjoyed for one day, it should never be put away.
One of the reasons why Christmas is so beloved is the spirit of giving and generosity accompanying it. Exchanging gifts with your loved ones bring happiness and show appreciation. Giving and receiving presents is a cherished tradition, representing our love and thoughtfulness towards one another. One of the things I love most about Christmas is wrapping gifts. The anticipation of seeing the looks on my loved ones’ faces as they unwrap their presents brings me immense joy. I carefully choose and wrap each gift, making it a memorable experience for everybody.
Decorating the Christmas tree is another cherished part of my holiday celebrations. Every step is warm and nostalgic, from unboxing the Christmas lights and ornaments to carefully arranging them on the tree. The twinkling lights and shimmering ornaments create a festive ambiance that instantly lifts everyone’s spirits.
Music plays a vital role in setting the Christmas mood, and I love listening to cheerful holiday tunes while cooking and baking. It adds an extra layer of joy and excitement to the preparations. There’s something magical about singing classic Christmas carols while whipping delicious treats in the kitchen.
Be jolly and enjoy the Christmas cheer, as it only comes once a year.
Now, let me share how my family and I spend our Christmas. We kickstart our celebrations by starting to buy Christmas gifts shortly after Thanksgiving. This gives us plenty of time to find the perfect presents for our loved ones. Once we have all the gifts, we eagerly begin wrapping them, enjoying the process of making them look beautiful and festive.
On December 1st, we gathered together to decorate our house, including the Christmas tree. It’s a time when we bond and create memories as we hang ornaments, wrap garlands, and string lights. The transformed atmosphere fills us with excitement for the days to come.
Christmas Eve is always a special occasion in our family. We make it a tradition to visit the breathtaking Christmas lights displayed downtown. The colorful, shimmering lights brighten the night and add even more magic to the holiday season.
Christmas morning is undoubtedly one of the highlights for me. Watching my nephew’s jubilant anticipation as he opens his presents fills my heart with joy. Afterward, I take on the task of preparing a delicious breakfast and hot chocolate for the family to enjoy. We gather around, exchange gifts, sip on warm drinks, and watch old Christmas movies, immersing ourselves in the holiday spirit.
As the day progresses, we start getting ready for Christmas dinner. From setting the table with festive decorations to preparing a delicious feast, it is a time filled with love and togetherness. Sharing a delicious meal and engaging in meaningful conversations.
Now it’s your turn to let us know how you spend your Christmas.
